About the Author
Ben Okri was born on 15 March 1959 in Minna, Nigeria. He is a Nigerian poet and novelist. Okri is considered one of the foremost African authors in the post-modern and post-colonial traditions and has been compared favorably to authors such as Salman Rushdie and Gabriel García Márquez. In 1991, he won the Booker Prize with his novel The Famished Road. He lives in London.
