About the Author

Stephen King was born on September 21, 1947, in Portland, Maine. He is a very popular author of horror fiction. In his works, he blends elements of the traditional gothic tale with those of the modern psychological thriller, detective, and science fiction stories. He received the National Book Foundation’s Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters in 2003 and the National Medal of Arts in 2015. He lives with his wife, the novelist Tabitha King, in Bangor, Maine.
