Product Description

Story 1 A long, dry summer in the remote hills spells trouble for Bisnu and his family. With no hope in sight, Bisnu sets out for the city. Through Bisnu finds work in Mussoorie, he soon realises the callous, insensitive city was vastly different from the loving nooks of his little village. Where will Bisnu's fate take him? Story 2 For Vijay, the juicy, ripe fruits and yummy confectioneries at the town shops are a constant source of longing. Then one day, a rich boy with a bag of sweets follows Vijay around with a kind smile; building his hope. Will a rich boy's generosity finally give Vijay a chance to taste the tempting treats? Here are two wonderfully illustrated, heart warming stories by Ruskin Bond that capture the seemingly ordinary, yet distinct qualities of the Himalayan foothills and its people.
