The easiest problems in Mathematics in IIT-JEE, ISI Entrance Examination, AIEEE,

DCE Entrance Examination and Mathematics Olympiads are always from Permutations and Combinations, and Probability, but the irony is that most of the students do not attempt them correctly. And a greater irony is that solution to these problems does not require any pre-requisites, except cleverness. This book is aimed at driving precisely this point home. The aim of the book is to teach you consistent and clear thinking, that is, how not to confuse cause and consequence, how to analyze all the cases of a problem, skipping none, and how to build up a chain of propositions properly. The first chapter of the book deals with Combinatorics-the branch of Mathematics concerned with the number of arrangements of given objects subject to various restrictions. The chapter begins with Initiation, where questions are arranged in no particular order. The purpose of the Initiation is to increase the effectiveness of the book by toning up the student's mindset. Then definitions, concepts, and various formulations are discussed in detail. To inculcate problem-solving skills in students a variety of problems with detailed solutions, and many new solutions to classical problems have also been given. At the end of the lesson, there are exercises - designed for catering to the needs of the latest trend in IIT-JEE-passage comprehension, multiple-choice questions, column matching, matrix matching, etc, and for other competitive exams.

Chapter 2 deals with Probability. As in chapter 1, this chapter also begins with Initiation, followed by concepts and formulations and a variety of problems with detailed solutions, and finally the Exercises. Students are always in desperate need of good issues. To meet this requirement of students, each chapter contains a huge body of problems.
